About the Feature

What this record preserves.

The original CBC episode page has not been recovered. A later publisher biography specifically names CBC Radio's The Current with Anna Maria Tremonti, while Lorri's archived site materials preserve a CBC Radio studio photograph and place the beginning of her media history in 2012.

Lorri Brewer’s early CBC coverage is well enough supported to preserve as part of her media history, but not well enough preserved to invent an exact broadcast date or original episode URL. The surviving evidence specifically names CBC Radio’s The Current with Anna Maria Tremonti, while older LorriBrewer.com materials place Lorri’s first media period in 2012.

What can be verified

A later publisher biography for Lorri’s 2026 Our Paranormal Afterlife appearance states that her story and reflections attracted the attention of “the CBC radio talk show The Current, with host Anna Maria Tremonti” before Heaven Time was published.

A separate 2023 Spirit Switchboard publisher biography also lists The Current with Tremonti among Lorri’s earlier media appearances, alongside CBC National News and CBC Radio One with Mark Connolly. That second source is important because it suggests the CBC logo may represent more than one historical appearance rather than a single program.

What remains unresolved

The original CBC episode page has not been recovered, and the exact broadcast day is not currently supported by the available evidence. This page therefore records the date as 2012 rather than assigning a false month or day.

Lorri’s older website archive also preserved a photograph of her seated inside a CBC Radio studio with CBC Edmonton branding. That first-party artifact supports the broader history, but a photograph cannot by itself establish which program was being recorded on that day.

The timing around Heaven Time

Lorri’s archived site history says she first began speaking with media in 2012 following the period around the release of Heaven Time. The later publisher biography describes The Current coverage as occurring before publication.

The book was released in 2012, so the available evidence consistently places this CBC period near the beginning of Lorri’s public discussion of the near-death experience. Readers looking for the book-length account can continue to Heaven Time.

Why an archival page can include uncertainty

Historical authority is weakened when missing details are silently repaired. The purpose of this page is to keep the surviving evidence visible while marking the gaps.

The existence of CBC coverage is supported by multiple surviving references and first-party archival material. The exact CBC URL and day are not. Those two facts can coexist without turning the page into speculation.

Where this fits in Lorri’s media history

The CBC record sits between Lorri’s 2010 NDERF submission and the later interviews now preserved in the Media archive. It shows that national radio interest in her story predates the current podcast cycle by more than a decade.

If an original CBC archive page or broadcast record is recovered later, this page can be updated with the exact date and original source without changing its canonical URL.
