Uncertainty
I cannot get comfortable with not knowing what happens after death.
We can separate what you know, what you believe, what you hope and what remains genuinely uncertain.
Fear of Death
A private 90-minute conversation about mortality, uncertainty, what you believe may come after death and how to live when the question keeps taking up space.
Mortality
Fear of death can show up as a spiritual question, a question about control, a reaction to loss or illness, or simply the recognition that life is finite. Sometimes it becomes part of an anxiety problem that deserves qualified clinical care. Sometimes what you want is a direct conversation about mortality and meaning.
I can talk with you about the beliefs, questions and decisions around death from the perspective of someone whose heart stopped and who then had to return to ordinary life. I cannot remove uncertainty or tell you with certainty what happens after death.
What We Can Explore
The session can stay with the fear itself or move into the beliefs, losses and life decisions around it.
Uncertainty
We can separate what you know, what you believe, what you hope and what remains genuinely uncertain.
Control
We can look at where the need for certainty is showing up and which parts of the life in front of you are still yours to shape.
Belief
We can discuss spiritual beliefs, doubt and personal interpretation without pretending any private belief is established fact.
Time
We can examine urgency, priorities and what deserves attention without turning mortality into a demand to overhaul your entire life.
What I Bring
During a medical crisis in 2010, my heart stopped and I was resuscitated. I remember the experience as a near-death experience, and it changed how I think about death, consciousness and the time we have.
I do not present my experience as proof of what will happen to anyone else. What I can offer is the perspective of someone who had to live for years after death stopped feeling abstract.
Before You Book
A Private Session is for reflective conversation. It is not treatment for anxiety, panic, trauma or another mental-health condition.
01
No. I do not diagnose or treat anxiety disorders. If fear of death is causing severe anxiety, panic, insomnia, impaired functioning or another clinical concern, an appropriately qualified mental-health professional is the right resource.
02
No. I can share my near-death experience and personal perspective, but I cannot give you certainty about an afterlife or present personal interpretation as fact.
03
Yes. Loss can make mortality feel much closer. We can talk about the questions that followed while keeping grief counselling and clinical care outside the service.
04
Yes. You do not need to share my beliefs. The conversation can include faith, doubt, spirituality, skepticism or uncertainty.
05
No. LorriBrewer.com does not provide emergency or crisis care. If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental-health crisis, use the appropriate local emergency or crisis service.
